For the first time this year, all our Parish Record Magazines were delivered by a professional delivery company. On the whole, this worked well, but there were a few glitches which we will learn from for next time. Some deliveries were made outside the Parish, some households missed a delivery and we have some reports of 2 copies being received by some households. So, we apologise if you missed out on your copy and we will improve the system for next time.

A quick reminder that tomorrow evening at 7.30pm, we gather to sing carols by the Christmas Tree on Fernleigh Green. The Salvation Army Band will play the music, we will sing a number of carols including one just for the children "Away in a Manger". There are sweets!

Local children have been busy decorating the tree with home made baubles and today we hung the lights on the tree, so it looks very festive. Tomorrow afternoon at 3pm, Roger Whyborn (our Mayor, as well as one of our Parish and District Councillors) will take a look at the tree and decide on the best bauble (and the 2nd and 3rd place). The winners will be announced after the Carol service and we have Hobbycraft vouchers for the prize winners.

We intend to start the Carols earlier next year (6.30pm) in order to be more family friendly.

So, hoping you can come and join us for 30 minutes or so. As is customary, we are serving free hot mulled wine and home made mince pies. Please bring a mug or a cup for your mulled wine to help save the planet. There will also be a collection bucket going round for the Salvation Army.

Wishing you a Happy and Peaceful Christmas and New Year
