A project is being launched to collect a People's history of life in Up Hatherley since the Second World War.

History is so much more than historic buildings and famous people. During next year, the plan is to recruit volunteers (adults and children) and train them to listen to people living and working in the Parish since the Second World War and to collect their stories - and of course there will need to be volunteers who would be happy to talk about their lives and experiences in the parish.

The plan is that the project will come to fruition with a People's history of Up Hatherley, which could be held digitally in the Gloucestershire Archives and also on story boards in the Church foyer.

If you would like to find out more about this exciting project and help shape the way it is carried out, then you are warmly invited to come to an introductory event at the Church at 6.30pm on Monday 14th October. It is anticipated that the session will last approximately an hour and there will be tea, coffee and cake to sustain you!
